Description:
A reason to choose this exact build.
The best race bike is not always the most expensive version of the model you love. The Melee V2 Premium RED puts the engineering story where it belongs: the ENVE M.O.D. frame, purpose-designed aero cockpit and SRAM RED E1 AXS 2× system. The race bike beneath you is the same focused platform as the PRO build.
What changes is the wheel proposition. The manufacturer lists premium SES 2.3, 3.4 and 4.5 options rather than the flagship PRO tier. If your events favor climbing, rolling routes or crosswinds, that freedom to choose a wheel profile may be more meaningful than simply stepping up the price ladder.

02 / THE BIKE IN DETAIL
See the shape. Understand the intention.
The silhouette tells one story. The integration, finishing touches and frame details tell the rest. These are official ENVE product views, while the configuration and geometry below explain what you are actually selecting.
Manufacturer imagery may represent alternate finishes or display components. Color and build options selected at purchase determine the delivered configuration.
The smart high-end choice
Premium RED makes particular sense when you already own another wheelset, prefer a specific depth, or want to retain more of the budget for the fit and contact points. Ask Brimstone to confirm actual wheel model, freehub and cockpit details before finalizing the build.

BEHIND THE ENGINEERING
A complete system, not just an aero frame.
ENVE reports a 17-watt aerodynamic improvement over the original Melee in its specified test setup. That total comes from the revised frame/fork/seatpost, cockpit and bottle cages—not an isolated frame-only figure. This is the distinction worth knowing when comparing flagship aero bikes.
Designed around your kind of riding.
The Melee V2 belongs in a conversation about racing, not generic endurance comfort. ENVE revised its road-race platform around lower weight and a more aerodynamic bike-and-rider system. The result is a highly integrated carbon chassis intended for fast groups, climbing and race-day acceleration. The manufacturer specifies a 33 mm maximum tire and describes 31 mm as the optimal size. That deliberate limit matters: the Melee V2 is focused on speed and handling rather than being an all-road bike in disguise.
The V2 switches to a serviceable BSA threaded bottom bracket and a Universal Derailleur Hanger. ENVE reports a 17-watt aero improvement versus the original Melee under its stated test conditions; that is a comparison with the previous ENVE model, not a laboratory ranking against Cervélo, Trek or Wilier. Its 750–850 g published frame-weight range depends on frame size and finish and should never be confused with a complete-bike weight.

Melee V2 vs. the other bikes you are considering
Every platform below has a legitimate reason to exist. Use this comparison to decide which design philosophy matches your real riding before comparing groupset prices.
| Bike platform | Primary character | Listed max tire | Distinctive approach | When to consider it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ENVE Melee V2 | Lightweight aero road-race platform | 33 mm | BSA bottom bracket, UDH, integrated ENVE system | The race-focused alternative if ENVE integration and serviceable standards fit your brief. |
| Cervélo S5 | Dedicated aerodynamic road race | Check current trim | Highly aero-oriented S5 chassis and Reserve wheel options | Choose it when deep aero design and Cervélo cockpit preference top the list. |
| Trek Madone Gen 8 | Integrated aero/lightweight road racing | 32 mm | Full System Foil and IsoFlow design | A strong rival if you prefer Trek fit, IsoFlow feel and the Madone ecosystem. |
| Wilier Filante SLR ID2 | Italian aero race platform | 34 mm | Integrated aero system and UDH | Consider it for Italian race-bike identity and a slightly different fit philosophy. |
Comparison uses manufacturer-listed tire limits and editorial fit judgments, not independently measured speed results. Tire widths are nominal; actual mounted dimensions vary. Confirm the exact model year and build.

THE RIDE EXPERIENCE
Designed in the tunnel. Built for the road.
The Melee V2 brings its wind-tunnel engineering to the details you live with every ride: a streamlined front end, a BSA bottom bracket, UDH compatibility and clearance for road tires up to 33 mm. This is the ENVE for riders who prioritize aggressive road racing over wider-tire flexibility.

Full ENVE Melee V2 geometry, every size.
A 56 cm Melee V2 has 564.7 mm stack and 393.3 mm reach in the published chart. Compare that with your current bike before choosing a size. Aero cockpit width, stem reach, spacer allowance and saddle position can affect fit as much as frame size.
Choose your intended race position first, then select cockpit reach and the wheel profile appropriate to your local roads; a frame label alone cannot tell you whether you need a 90 or 120 mm stem.
Geometry measurements below are supplied by ENVE. Millimeters unless otherwise noted. The entire manufacturer geometry chart is retained on every configuration, including fork rake and tire-dependent trail.

Helpful answers before you commit.
Does Premium RED use the same frame as PRO RED?
Yes, both are built around Melee V2 M.O.D. carbon geometry. The primary published distinction is the wheel tier.
Which SES wheel depth should I choose?
Consider typical gradient, speed, wind and tire choices; the selected wheel profile should be documented in the final order.
Is there a Shimano Di2 stock version here?
This listing is for the named SRAM RED AXS configuration. Ask for a separate custom-build quote if you prefer Shimano.
How do I choose an ENVE Melee V2 frame size?
Use the complete ENVE stack/reach chart below as a starting point, then confirm your current saddle position, cockpit reach and riding preferences. Reach out to Brimstone with your fit data.
Can Brimstone help with a custom wheel or cockpit choice?
