About the photography. These Wilier images show the Filante SL ID2 in four colors and several display builds. This product is supplied with Shimano 105 Di2 - Vision SC 45 i23 Carbon. The specification table defines the ordered equipment; photographed wheels, drivetrain, bottles, cages and other accessories may differ.
Wilier Filante SL ID2.
Shimano 105 Di2.
Riders who want the Filante SL ID2 frame, carbon wheels and electronic 2x shifting without paying for the Ultegra or Force equipment packages.
The Wilier Filante SL ID2 Shimano 105 Di2 is for the moment when simply riding farther is no longer the whole story. You want to hold the wheel on a fast group ride, choose a line with intention, and own a bicycle that looks as purposeful as the way you ride. This build brings the Filante SL ID2 carbon platform together with Shimano 105 electronic shifting and Vision SC 45 i23 Carbon wheels.
Moving into Filante should be about the bicycle beneath you, not about buying a groupset name. The E7705IVS build puts the emphasis where a rider meets the machine: the frame, the integrated carbon cockpit, the wheels and the gearing. Shimano 105 Di2 supplies electronic shifts, while a compact 50/34T crankset and an 11-34T cassette leave a genuinely useful low gear for the climb after the fast section.
Aero design.
A road-racing point of view.
Choose the platform first.
The frame and fork use Wilier's NHU MOD carbon monocoque construction with high impact strength. Wilier describes the SL ID2 as sharing the SLR ID2's aerodynamic design and racing geometry, while using its own material and equipment specification.
Integration you can see.
The R-Bar combines handlebar and stem in a carbon cockpit with integrated routing. Wilier describes a 3 cm flare at the drops. Its listed 310 g +/-5% weight refers to the handlebar, not the frame or complete bicycle.
Room to tailor the ride.
All four builds specify 700x30c Vittoria road tires and up to 34 mm frame clearance. The UDH interface and single-chainring compatibility broaden the platform's setup options. Measured tire width and wheel compatibility still matter.
The point is not to make every ride a race.
It is to choose a bike that meets your ambition.

Every line deserves
a closer look.
The head tube, fork crown and top-tube transition make the Filante silhouette immediately recognizable. These close-ups let the shape and finish speak for themselves.

Explore the front-end details

Every component.
A reason to be here.
Electronic precision. A practical range.
Shimano 105 Di2 pairs a 50/34T compact crankset with an 11-34T, 12-speed cassette. The smallest chainring and largest sprocket produce a 1:1 ratio: one rear-wheel revolution for one crank revolution. That is useful gearing to consider when your route mixes quick flat sections with sustained climbing. It does not remove the need to choose a bike that fits your fitness, terrain and position.
Vision SC 45 i23 Carbon
Vision SC 45 i23 Carbon wheels are specified on this complete bike. There is no alloy-wheel stepping stone to replace immediately. Think of them as part of the build you are choosing, rather than a photograph-only upgrade. The exact OEM wheel model is preserved in the specification table; tire and pressure limits must be checked against that wheelset.
The actual brake package.
Shimano 105 BR-R7170 hydraulic disc brakes are paired with SM-RT70 rotors, 160 mm at the front and 140 mm at the rear. The Shimano configuration uses a different rotor sizing from the SRAM builds.

Read the ratios.
Not just the badge.
Calculated from the supplied chainring and cassette tooth counts. Ratios are not a prediction of speed or climbing performance.
The 34/34 low gear matches the numerical 1:1 climbing ratio of the Force XPLR build. The difference is how you reach that ratio: two chainrings and a 12-speed cassette here, versus one chainring and a 13-speed cassette on XPLR.
Choose this build when the Filante SL ID2 platform matters more to you than moving farther up the component hierarchy. You get carbon wheels and electronic shifting here already. Moving to Ultegra is a different equipment decision, not a requirement for experiencing this frame.
Your next bike should answer
a better question.
Not simply: how many gears does it have?
But: does this frame, fit and build match the way I want to ride?
Moving from Rapida to Filante SL ID2 is a platform choice. A rider who already values electronic shifting and carbon wheels should look closely at the frame's racing intent, the R-Bar cockpit, the specified wheelset and the complete gearing. That is a more useful comparison than treating the most expensive bike as the automatic answer.
The road is the reason.

The finish is personal.

Six sizes.
One very personal decision.
The dealer catalogue includes XS through XXL. To choose well, start with your existing riding position: saddle height and setback, reach to the controls, handlebar drop and the way your current bicycle feels after a long ride.
Brimstone can help compare those measurements with the frame and the cockpit supplied for your size. We do not assign a size from height alone, or promise a particular stem, bar width or crank length that is not listed in this build sheet.
Request the current Wilier geometry and size-specific cockpit specification before final fit approval.
Four builds.
Four clear reasons to choose.
The frame family and R-Bar cockpit are shared. The differences that matter are the actual drivetrain, wheelset, brakes and gearing.
| Build | Wheelset | Front / rear gearing | Why choose it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shimano 105 Di2 (this build) | Vision SC 45 i23 Carbon | 50/34T / 11-34T | Riders who want the Filante SL ID2 frame, carbon wheels and electronic 2x shifting without paying for the Ultegra or Force equipment packages. |
| Shimano Ultegra Di2 | Vision SC 45 i23 Carbon | 50/34T / 11-30T | Riders who specifically want Ultegra Di2 and its matching brake package, and are comfortable with the supplied 11-30T cassette. |
| SRAM Force XPLR AXS 1x13 | Miche SWR EVO 50 Carbon | 46T aero / 10-46T | Road riders who prefer a single chainring, want a 1:1 low gear, and value a clean, wide-range 13-speed AXS configuration. |
| SRAM Force AXS E1 2x12 | Miche SWR EVO 50 Carbon | 48/35T / 10-33T | Riders who want SRAM Force AXS E1, prefer a two-chainring road setup, and want the 48/10 top ratio in the supplied configuration. |
Questions worth asking.
Is this the Filante SL ID2 or the Filante SLR ID2?
This is the Filante SL ID2. Wilier describes shared aerodynamic design and racing geometry with the SLR ID2, but the SL has its own carbon specification and R-Bar cockpit. SLR frame weights, carbon-fiber claims and measured aerodynamic savings should not be assumed to describe this complete bike.
How should I choose between this bike and Rapida?
Start with the platform and the way you want to ride. Filante SL ID2 is the race-focused aero-road choice in this comparison. Rapida is a separate frame family. Both can be purchased with electronic shifting and carbon wheels, so compare fit, actual equipment and tire requirements rather than assuming those features are exclusive to Filante.
What gearing does this build include?
Shimano 105 Di2 R7170 2x12 with 50/34T at the front and a 11-34T cassette. The 34/34 low gear matches the numerical 1:1 climbing ratio of the Force XPLR build. The difference is how you reach that ratio: two chainrings and a 12-speed cassette here, versus one chainring and a 13-speed cassette on XPLR.
Does Force XPLR make the Filante SL ID2 a gravel bike?
No. XPLR is the drivetrain on the single-chainring build. The Filante SL ID2 remains a road platform, with up to 34 mm frame clearance and 700x30c road tires in these specifications. A drivetrain name does not change the frame's intended role or tire clearance.
Is the supplied bike tubeless?
The specified Vittoria Rubino Pro V Graphene tires are Tube Type. Do not treat the bike as a factory tubeless setup. Any conversion requires a verified compatible tire, rim, tape, valve and pressure limit.
How much does this build weigh?
A manufacturer-published complete-bike weight has not been confirmed for this exact build. Ask us for a size-specific figure before ordering.
Is a power meter or Aerokit included?
No power meter is specified in this build sheet. Wilier describes Aerokit SL and Aerokit SLR options for the platform, but cages, bottles and other accessories are not itemized in the supplied build. Confirm the contents of the final order rather than treating campaign photography as an inclusion list.
Which colors and sizes can I choose?
The dealer catalogue lists Drive White F34, Pivot Grey F35, Pulse Red F36 and Flow Blue F37 in XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL for this setup. A listed variant is not confirmation of stock. Contact Brimstone for current availability and an estimated fulfillment window.
How do I select the right size?
Share your current bike size and fit measurements, height, inseam and riding goals with us. Frame size alone does not determine your position: cockpit dimensions, saddle position and spacers also matter. The exact size-specific cockpit and crank lengths need to be confirmed for the bike ordered.
