Description:
01 / TRIATHLON INTENT
Build the rear end around the event
A rear disc wheel is a purposeful equipment choice for an aerodynamic race build. It replaces the traditional open-spoke rear-wheel shape with a smooth monocoque disc structure. The result calls for careful bike-specific fit confirmation and an understanding of the type of events where a rear disc is appropriate.
03 / RACE DEVELOPMENT
The details behind race-day speed.
The following systems are part of the Race wheel engineering described by Scope. Product-specific hardware, fit and limits are detailed in the technical reference below.
MONOCOQUE REAR DISC
The wheel is engineered as a rear aerodynamic disc rather than a conventional exposed-spoke rim.
R-SERIES ENGAGEMENT
Scope’s Race hub architecture and published Diamond Ratchet system make cassette-body configuration important.
TIRE SYSTEM
The 23 mm hooked interface is developed around the manufacturer’s preferred 28 mm tire size.

Fit & function / Important decisions
Know what you're buying.
This product is a single rear wheel. Verify rear-frame clearance and cassette/freehub compatibility.
Scope identifies a hooked tubeless-ready tire bed; check the specific tire manufacturer’s rim-width approvals.
Confirm axle interface, tire clearance and the selected variant before ordering.
Configuration / Exactly the right version
Select the correct factory build.
The variant selector determines which Scope manufacturer SKU and barcode you order. Choose options appropriate to your bike; if a variant is unavailable, contact Brimstone before substituting another freehub or braking configuration.

Frequently asked questions about Scope Race Disc
Does Race Disc come with a front wheel?
No. Race Disc is a single carbon rear disc wheel. Front wheel, cassette, tire and brake rotor must be selected separately unless specifically stated otherwise.
What is included in the Scope Race Disc listing?
One monocoque rear disc wheel only (front not included). Tires, cassettes, rotors and accessories are included only if specifically listed in the Scope package details.
What does the Scope Race Disc weigh?
Scope publishes 1,085 g as its wheel weight. It is not a shipping-package weight, and actual manufactured weights can vary.
Which tire should I use with the Scope Race Disc?
Scope identifies a 23 mm internal rim and 28 mm optimum tire width. The tire manufacturer must approve the tire on this particular rim width and bead system, and the frame must provide adequate clearance.
Will it fit my bike?
Check the axle standard, brake interface, tire clearance, and any rear cassette/freehub compatibility. A wheel-model name is not enough to establish drivetrain compatibility.
Can Brimstone help confirm compatibility?
Yes. Brimstone Bicycles can help you check rim/tire approval, axle type and—when applicable—the correct freehub body before you order.
