ENVE / GRAVEL PERFORMANCE

Race it hard. Wander farther.

The MOG is ENVE’s dedicated gravel chassis: confidence on loose ground, useful storage, and the component freedom to build for start lines or remote routes.

Platform inspiration: complete-bike photography illustrates the design; frameset listing does not include the pictured complete build.

01  /  The real ride

A reason to choose this exact build.

The most interesting gravel bike is the one that reflects the terrain you actually ride. A long course of smooth Midwestern dirt asks different questions than an alpine descent, and neither should force you into a stock build. ENVE MOG starts with a genuine gravel chassis: 50 mm 700c clearance, a T47 threaded bottom bracket, configurable contact points and a storage compartment that has a real job.

Unlike a simple frame-and-fork purchase, ENVE describes its MOG chassis as including the frame, fork, headset, stem, handlebar and seatpost. That matters to your budget and your fit: handlebar width, stem length and seatpost selection belong in the initial build conversation. Add your selected drivetrain, wheels, tires and braking system through a separate build quotation to complete the bicycle.

03  /  The build choice

The chassis components matter as much as the carbon

ENVE specifies MOG as a configurable chassis package with frame, fork, headset, stem, handlebar and seatpost. Its 27.2 mm seatpost interface can support a dropper option; it uses a T47 threaded bottom bracket and targets 700c tires from 36 to 50 mm. Confirm the exact inclusions and ENVE cockpit selections before placing the order.

Frame color and size, wheel specification, freehub, crank length, cockpit dimensions, setup and actual availability. Build photos may show other equipment.

BEHIND THE ENGINEERING

Room to choose your own kind of gravel.

ENVE specifies clearance for 700 × 50 mm tires, a T47 threaded bottom bracket, six frame sizes with size-specific fork rakes, integrated Cargo Bay storage and mounts for useful equipment. The recommended wheel diameter is 700c; 650b is not recommended by ENVE.

T47Threaded bottom bracket standard
6 sizes49 to 60 cm with tuned fork rake
04  /  The platform

Designed around your kind of riding.

ENVE built the MOG as a real gravel platform rather than an endurance road frame with extra clearance. Its geometry is designed around 700c gravel tires, with ENVE specifying 40–44 mm as the optimal range and 50 mm as the listed maximum. The 0.6 L downtube Cargo Bay hides the flat kit, while mounts and a 27.2 mm seatpost interface leave space for longer or more technical rides.

The 950 g published weight is for a size-56 painted frame without hardware—not the weight of a complete bicycle. The T47 inboard bottom bracket, 700c-only design recommendation, and drivetrain routing guidance make the MOG particularly relevant to custom-build shoppers. It can be configured for fast hardpack racing or broader adventure; no single tire or wheel is universally ideal.

01

The surface question

Do you need true 45–50 mm capability?

02

The drivetrain question

Does 1× simplicity outweigh close 2× road gears?

03

The build question

Would a 27.2 mm dropper or Cargo Bay change your ride?

THE SMALL THINGS MATTER

MOG platform close-up — cargo bay and gravel clearance

The most valuable details are the ones you notice on a long ride: thoughtful routing, clean integration and a frame designed around its real use. ENVE’s platform imagery helps explain the design, while Brimstone helps you specify the actual bike.

05  /  Cross-brand comparison

MOG vs. the other bikes you are considering

Every platform below has a legitimate reason to exist. Use this comparison to decide which design philosophy matches your real riding before comparing groupset prices.

Bike platform Primary character Listed max tire Distinctive approach When to consider it
ENVE MOG Performance gravel / long-range versatility 50 mm Cargo Bay, T47, 27.2 mm dropper compatibility A balanced pick when 50 mm capacity and versatile builds matter.
Cervélo Áspero-5 Aerodynamic gravel racing 45 mm Race-focused aero frame with downtube storage Consider it when aero gravel speed matters more than 50 mm clearance.
Pinarello Grevil F Fast gravel racing and endurance 50 mm Italian racing identity, 2027 integrated storage A direct rival for fast gravel with more emphasis on a Pinarello build.
Wilier Rave SLR ID2 Gravel racing, wider-tire capability Up to 2.1 in (~53 mm) Aero gravel chassis; 1×-only drivetrain design Choose it when wider MTB-style tires or Wilier race character decide.

Comparison uses manufacturer-listed tire limits and editorial fit judgments, not independently measured speed results. Tire widths are nominal; actual mounted dimensions vary. Confirm the exact model year and build.

08  /  Fit and geometry

Full ENVE MOG geometry, every size.

MOG geometry is based on gravel use, not a road-race fit enlarged by tire clearance. At size 56 cm the published stack is 587 mm and reach 397 mm; its wheelbase and 420 mm chainstays are part of its handling equation. Compare bar reach, flare and tire height before deciding between adjacent sizes.

Send your fit measurements and target wheel/tire combination before selecting the chassis size and bar/stem. Geometry is available for all six sizes; cockpit components are not selected from height alone.

Geometry measurements below are supplied by ENVE. Millimeters unless otherwise noted. The entire manufacturer geometry chart is retained on every configuration, including fork rake and tire-dependent trail.

09  /  Questions answered

Helpful answers before you commit.

What exactly is included with the MOG frameset?

ENVE describes the MOG as a configurable chassis including frame, fork, headset, stem, handlebar and seatpost. Wheelset, drivetrain, brakes and other finishing parts are separate unless included in a written quotation.

Does MOG take 650b wheels?

ENVE designs MOG around 700c and does not recommend 650b.

Can I use a SRAM mechanical 2× drivetrain?

No. ENVE specifies restrictions on SRAM and Campagnolo mechanical 2× setups because of continuous front-derailleur housing requirements.

Can I build it with a dropper post?

Yes, the 27.2 mm interface supports appropriate ENVE G Series dropper options subject to configuration approval.

How do I choose an ENVE MOG frame size?

Use the complete ENVE stack/reach chart below as a starting point, then confirm your current saddle position, cockpit reach and riding preferences. Reach out to Brimstone with your fit data.

Can Brimstone help with a custom wheel or cockpit choice?

Contact the shop with your preferred wheels, tire width and fit numbers. Custom changes are subject to ENVE compatibility, availability and a separate written quote.
