Aerodynamic priorities
Two 85 mm-deep carbon rims are built for sustained efforts against the clock, making this a focused choice for TT and triathlon positions where aerodynamic efficiency is central.
R8.T / Product philosophy
When your race is a solo effort, the wheel choice becomes part of the complete position, tire and bike system. The R8.T brings Scope's aerodynamically developed 85 mm rim shape to a more accessible Race-series construction, without the Aeroscales finish used on the flagship Artech family.
Its internal 23 mm hooked rim design is optimized for 28 mm tires, making tire choice part of the aerodynamic story rather than an afterthought. Paired with the reliable R-Series hub platform, it is built for athletes who prioritize speed and practical race-day compatibility.
THE SCOPE RANGE / THREE DISTINCT APPROACHES
Sport, Race and Artech share Scope's focus on carbon wheel performance. The difference is in the construction, technology and application; always compare the exact models and compatibility before choosing.

The engineering / Three priorities
Two 85 mm-deep carbon rims are built for sustained efforts against the clock, making this a focused choice for TT and triathlon positions where aerodynamic efficiency is central.
A 23 mm internal hooked bead is optimized by Scope for a 28 mm tire, with compatibility specified from 28–65 mm subject to clearance and tire approval.
Sapim CX-Ray spokes, Scope R-Series hubs, SKF bearings and a 36-tooth Diamond Ratchet engagement system offer a high-performance, conventionally spoked construction.

Important: 8.6 bar / 125 psi is Scope's stated maximum for the rim, not a recommended tire pressure. Use the lower wheel/tire limit and confirm tire approval and frame clearance. Specification and product weights may change with manufacture; listed wheel weight is not a packed shipping weight.
The choice / Race vs Artech
R8.T is built on technology developed for the Artech 8.T, but it is not the same wheelset. Where Artech pursues the brand's lightest and most advanced construction, Race R8.T offers deep-rim aerodynamic design with steel aero spokes and Scope's R-Series hubs. For some athletes, that is exactly the balance they want.
Before you order
Select the freehub body and decal color using the options above. Your selection determines the manufacturer's SKU and barcode. Scope offers Shimano HG, Shimano Micro Spline, SRAM XD(R), Campagnolo and Campagnolo N3W configurations; confirm your cassette model before ordering.
The package includes a front and rear wheel, with Scope tubeless tape and valves pre-installed. Cassette, rotors and tires are not listed as included.
Scope publishes a three-year limited warranty and a lifetime crash-replacement program, subject to the manufacturer's applicable conditions and registration requirements. Brimstone can help verify compatibility and the appropriate wheel configuration.
Wheelset questions / Answered
Yes. This product is a paired front and rear R8.T wheelset. The R8.T Front and the Race Disc are separate products.
Scope lists 1,735 g for the complete wheelset. This is a manufacturer wheel weight, not the packaged shipping weight.
The R8.T uses hooked carbon rims with a 23 mm internal width, and Scope lists compatibility with suitable tubeless and clincher tires.
Scope states an optimum tire width of 28 mm and a compatible tire range of 28–65 mm. The tire must also be approved for the rim width and fit your particular frame and fork.
This wheelset uses 12 × 100 mm front and 12 × 142 mm rear thru axles with Centerlock disc-rotor interfaces. Confirm the bike and cassette fit before ordering.
Scope offers Shimano, SRAM XD(R), Shimano Micro Spline, Campagnolo and Campagnolo N3W body options. Choose the exact configuration in the variant selector; Brimstone can confirm cassette fit.
No. The Race R8.T inherits aerodynamic rim-design concepts from Artech 8.T but uses Sapim CX-Ray spokes and Scope R-Series hubs instead of the flagship Artech construction. It does not feature the Artech Aeroscales rim finish.
Scope states 8.6 bar / 125 psi as the wheel maximum. Always follow the lowest applicable limit from the wheel and tire manufacturers; this number is not a recommended riding pressure.
