Scope R6 Carbon Wheelset / Race development / WHEELSET

For the roads where the speed holds.

R6 brings Scope’s deeper 65 mm road rim profile into the Race family. Its 23 mm hooked bed targets a 28 mm tire; Scope lists the complete wheelset at 1,525 g.

01 / ROAD INTENT

A bigger commitment to aero road speed

The choice between R4 and R6 is largely about where you ride and the way you race. R6 is meant for cyclists who spend substantial time at speed—flat and rolling road races, solo efforts and fast road events—yet want a complete conventional spoked carbon wheelset rather than a dedicated TT wheel.

02 / PERFORMANCE ARCHITECTURE

Engineering for the intended ride.

Scope’s Artech-derived aerodynamic profile is paired with Sapim CX-Ray spokes, R-Series hubs, SKF bearings, Diamond Ratchet engagement and labyrinth sealing. The 23 mm hooked rim preserves Scope’s current road-race 28 mm tire recommendation.

THE SCOPE RANGE / THREE DISTINCT APPROACHES

Find your place in the Scope family.

Sport, Race and Artech share Scope's focus on carbon wheel performance. The difference is in the construction, technology and application; always compare the exact models and compatibility before choosing.

SPORT

Choosing this model

Which Scope wheel belongs on your bike?

Choose R6 when rim depth and sustained road speed are priorities. Choose R4 for a shallower all-round road wheel, or Artech 6 for the much lighter flagship interpretation of a 65 mm profile.

Scope wheelset / Compatibility answers

Frequently asked questions about Scope R6

Should I choose Scope R6 or R4?

R6 is 65 mm deep and more aero-depth focused; R4 is 45 mm deep and positioned for broader road conditions. Both use hooked 23 mm internal rims optimized for 28 mm tires.

What is included in the Scope R6 listing?

Complete front-and-rear wheelset. Tires, cassettes, rotors and accessories are included only if specifically listed in the Scope package details.

What does the Scope R6 weigh?

Scope publishes 1,525 g as its wheel weight. It is not a shipping-package weight, and actual manufactured weights can vary.

Which tire should I use with the Scope R6?

Scope identifies a 23 mm internal rim and 28 mm optimum tire width. The tire manufacturer must approve the tire on this particular rim width and bead system, and the frame must provide adequate clearance.

Will it fit my bike?

Check the axle standard, brake interface, tire clearance, and any rear cassette/freehub compatibility. A wheel-model name is not enough to establish drivetrain compatibility.

Can Brimstone help confirm compatibility?

Yes. Brimstone Bicycles can help you check rim/tire approval, axle type and—when applicable—the correct freehub body before you order.

What’s supplied / Warranty guidance

The wheel and the support behind it.

Tubeless valve(s) and tubeless tape (pre-installed), per Scope product page.

Scope lists a limited three-year manufacturer warranty on Race and Sport wheels purchased from Scope or an official Scope dealer. It applies to the original purchaser, subject to product registration within 30 working days and Scope’s published coverage and exclusions. Crash replacement is a separate manufacturer program; promotional trial and free-shipping terms are not promised by Brimstone.

Use the Scope warranty information and Scope crash replacement information for current terms.
